Czech Railways provide Internet on regional trains since 2014, when their modern sets RegioPanter rolled out for the first time. Passengers can shorten their daily commute for instance on the line S2 from Krenovice to Bilovice nad Svitavou.
Wi-Fi is also available on the trains InterPanter from Brno to Olomouc via Breclav or Brno to Prague via Blansko, Svitavy and Pardubice. Hundreds of passengers use Wi-Fi every day.
The connection is overall better on the less frequented routes. Monika Bezuchová, Czech Railways spokesman said to Brnensky Denik that fast Internet is a mater of upcoming weeks also at Brno’s main important transport hub – the Central Station. Czech Railways plan to invest in a new LTE modem to cover with connection the main hall and better the passengers’ experience.
