Police estimate that 3000 people expressed their disapproval with the Czech politics during the protest yesterday in Brno. People demonstrated against recent scandals of Minister of Finance Andrej Babis who supposedly influenced main Czech media and evaded the taxes.
One of the first speakers at the stage was Jan Matuška who introduced himself as an ordinary man who wants to live in a democratic state. He suggested that the Czech president Milos Zeman presents a threat to democracy in the Czech Republic. “Naively, I believe that the authorities will take care of this legally recognized liar.” said Matuška.
At the end of the assembly at Namesti Svobody, people greeted Adam Vzkaz who imitated the Minister of Finance Andrej Babis and waved around with paper bags full of donuts as a symbol of futile promises to the voters.
Shortly before 7 PM, the crowd moved to Moravske Namesti where the organizers prepared a musical program.
