Three daring creatives from Brno David Koutný, Tomáš Musil, and Lukáš Lukeš launched a marketing campaign for fermented milk drink “Kefírer” an year ago. Using puns and satirical humor, they wanted to draw attention to the growing extremism. First they announced a blitzkrieg of kefir drinks, later they announced arrival of (Ke)fírer to the stores shelves.

A few days ago, they released a statement related to the charges for breaching the copyright law using a similar design as the author of the book cover of “Look Who’s Back” [Er ist wieder da]. They managed to keep the dispute out of court.

“Either we could choose to start a trial that would last 3-4 years, or we could go and search for common ground. We chose the second option.” they wrote on Facebook.

According to the agreement, they had to delete their website, donate 800 Euro to the organization Exit Deutschland that helps people in finding a way out of extremism, publish a post on Facebook, and produce and sell 400 pieces Kefírer by the end of this May.

“One Kefírer will cost symbolic 194.5 CZK. We have a limited number of Kefírers and we want to get them to our fans. Kefírer will be sold on May 17, 2017 at Expedition Club at Jezuitská 6/1 in Brno. The sale starts at 2 PM and stops when they will have sold the last Kefírer.” informed the Kefírer makers on their Facebook.
