This morning Brno City Council approved the tender for extensive reconstruction of swimming pools at water park Riviera. The city wants to resolve a long-term water leak; the reason for an inevitable closure in the coming years.
Located behind Brno Exhibition Center along the river Svratka, Riviera features several long pools with cool water filtered from the river and a large natural relax area.
Planned construction works will focus on a pool technology modernization and a repair of the pool walls, including the new overflow slots. The estimated value of works amounts to 190-210 million crowns without VAT. Riviera should also obtain a new water slide.
“The reconstruction is planned for completion in 41 weeks. The works will start after this summer and finish before the summer season in 2018,” said in today’s press release Deputy Mayor Richard Mrázek.
