Developers, graphic designers, eager entrepreneurs, citizens of Brno, all are welcome to the event.

Brno, May 26 (BD) – If you are a concerned citizen of Brno who wants to make it a better place to live, Otakar Motejl Fund’s hackathon is the event you should attend. Otakar Motejl Fund strives to contribute to the transparency of public administration and elimination of excessive bureaucracy, backing it up with actively engaging society.

BrnoHacks will tackle the usage of the open data and how it can be used to create innovative meaningful projects. Open data is a concept that requires certain data to be free for all to use. Such data must be free to use, reuse and redistribute. The one restriction it may have is attributing the authors. Using raw data, participants will have to come up with ideas to make Brno a friendlier place to live.

O2, Liftago, Kiwi.com, ABRA Software, Municipality of Brno, and others will provide the data sets for participants to use. Experienced mentors from O2, Red Hat, and the event-organizing fund of Otakar Motejl will guide the teams onto the right path. Work with the best professionals in the industry!

During the intense weekend, participants will get together in groups to familiarize themselves with the required technology and work on ideas. Three days will be given to the teams to prepare their prototypes. On the final day, the judges will announce the winners.

The event starts on Friday, May 26th at 5 PM.
BrnoHacks will last through the whole weekend.
Venue:
JIC INMEC, Purkyňova 649/127.
