With temperatures going over thirty in Brno, it’s tempting to get out to some quiet place, pop a few beers, or grill a špekáček or two with friends. Grilling season is officially on in Brno.
Since last September, there are a few public grill spots one can use in the city. Three of them are located on the outskirts of the city on the beaches of Brno Dam. The places are called Rokle, Pod Dymou, and Kozí Horka. The spots are completely free to use following the principle first come, first (self-)served. For those who do not have the luxury of time to get out of the city, there is a grill place at Lužánky Park. Albeit being public, you need to reserve the place beforehand by E-mail or phone. You may find the contacts as well as the current reservations here. Another barbecue spot is located at Kraví Hora; you don’t need to do any booking there.
