Ever dreamed of dancing salsa like it’s the Rio Festival and there is no tomorrow? On June 25, at Salsa Open Air you will have the opportunity to learn from professional salsa dancers and make new friends while swaying in the rhythm of live music.
Salsa originates from Cuba and draws its roots form cha-cha-cha and mambo. It became popular in the States, specifically in New York in the 70s. There are many different styles of this dance. Afro-Latino, Colombian, Cuban are all unique variations of the same dance that unite dancers across the states’ borders.
Everyone is welcome; Salsa Open Air is 100% beginner friendly. Do not forget to take another enthusiast with you; after all, it is a lot more fun to dance in pairs. You will be taught the basics of salsa; there is an outdoor bar and barbecue as well.
