Are you a fan of a good piece of medium-rare meat wrapped in two soft buns? On Saturday, June 24, the Great Burger Battle will take place in Food Park, Brno.
A modern burger traces back for centuries to original Mongolian steak “tartare” and Roman versions from the 4th century. The famous beef patty made its way to the masses in the US with German immigrants who came to Ohio and brought their home steak recipe with them. The delicious “Hamburg steak” traveled to New York where it won over the market. From NY, the chopped beefsteak’s fame quickly spread to the the world and became one of the all-time most popular dishes.
Five burger places will compete for the best-made burger award this Saturday.

Besides juicy burgers, the thematic food of the event is carrot – a symbol of this year. You can taste healthy fast food made of carrots and carrot cake. Prefer meaty meat over carrots? Then you must try out hot dogs with premium sausages that contain 98% of meat. Božskej bar [“Divine Bar”] will cool you down with beverages. Their assortment features alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
Lemur dětem is going to provide entertainment for the young burger connoisseurs. This organization has a vast experience creating events for children. You may be sure that your child will not grow tired while you are savoring a variety of food. Mažoretky Brnon will cheer the little guests up.
The entry to the event is 100% free, the only requirement is to bring your excited and hungry self to Malá Amerika which is close to Nové Sady tram station.
