Brno, July 13 (BD) – USE-IT is a new resource for tourists and foreigners that summarizes the best pieces of advice locals can give to you. The printable version of Brno commented map is available free of charge as of today, July 13.

USE-IT stands for no-nonsense tourist info for young people. The commented maps are made by enthusiastic locals, are free of charge and non commercial. It is a complex of tips, insights and maps made for young tourists that could use a useful and fun way of getting to know a new city. “Brno is great in its own way: a lot of students, cosy cafés, decent prices, amazing functionalist buildings and also perfect public transport. Brno is not eaten up by tourists so you can experience an authentic Czech city,” reads the intro about Brno.

The platform has got information on almost 40 cities in Europe, including Brno. Every city project is independent and run by active local communities from Prague, Brussels, Bologna etc.

The company started up in early 70s as a low-budget help desk for young tourists in Copenhagen. Following other initiatives and similar projects in Belgium and Norway, they created an interactive website.

Among the numerous city ‘maps’, you can find Brno, Prague, Olomouc, Pilsen and a few other Czech ones. There is also an app for Apple products, although it does not contain as many cities as the website. All the content is absolutely free.

Find the website here.
