Starting today until August 3, the streets of historical center of Brno will be sprinkled with water throughout the day.
From 11am to 4pm streets of Kobližná, Jánská, Orlí, Dominikánská, Josefská, Minoritská, Zámečnická, Rašínova, Náměstí svobody and Dominikánské náměstí will be watered in order to cool the asphalt, clean the streets, and freshen up the air.
Regular sprinkling in the center eases the urban heat-island effect and removes dust from the streets.
If the temperatures are high in the second half of the week, the street watering will continue and will expand to other streets.
Hopefully, this will keep us cooler throughout these incredibly hot days.
