Brno, August 5 (BD) – For 18 days in July, people of Brno shared with us their best summer moments with the original #SummerBrnoDaily hashtag. 40 entries, 40 original photos from all around the city reminded us once again how exciting and beautiful Brno is. Let’s take a look at the three most popular entries and winners of the contest.
For Tek Jung Mahat from Nepal, Brno is “the place where diversity is reflected not only on the ground but also in the sky… ” He captured his thought at the winning picture (Title image of this article).The first winner Tek Jung Mahat is a PhD Student from Masaryk University. He shared with us a beautiful shot of colorful umbrellas over Česká street. His photo was followed with a meaningful and inspiring message “Colors of Brno: Brno is the place where diversity is reflected not only on the ground but also in the sky… internationality is a special character of Brno as long as diversity is concerned.”
The photo got 533 likes and came first. Tek Jung Mahat received a large-format canvas print of his shot and a photo poster will be displayed on Brno gallery tram from August 16 to August 30. You can look forward to seeing his picture on a special “Message Tram” #1049. Enjoy!
The second winning photo was taken by Sushma Singh from Nepal who is currently living in Brno. Her summer photo is captured at the best place to be during summer – the Brno Reservoir. What is summer in Brno like for Sushma? “Convergence of festivals, music, love, food, and countless wonderful people”.
The second photo gathered 509 likes and Sushma received two tickets for the outdoor cinema of the Letní kino Brno-střed and a gift box from Foreigners.cz. We love the summer vibes in her photo.
Sushma Singh about Brno: “Convergence of festivals, music, love, food, and countless wonderful people.”The third winner Annaliese Minařík shared with us a relaxing and beautiful moment with her family at the splendid lake of Marianske Udoli. The nice picture was followed by an even nicer message “As a single working mom in Brno,t he most important part of my day is spending time with my kids. I’ve found a little haven for a quiet picnic evening at Marianske Udoli, chatting up with Brno people around and just enjoying Brno away from the city center”.
For Annaliese Minařík, the best summer moment was with her family at Marianske udoli.Annaliese’s photo got 494 likes and she received two for the outdoor cinema of the Letní kino Brno-střed.
