Brno, August 11 (BD) – The Municipality of Brno arranges a competition for lovers of colorful greenery and eco-conscious folks. Entering the contest, you will competing for the best looking blooming window, enchanted with flowers and plants.
The prizes include vouchers for gardening supplies, cruises along the Brno dam, tickets to Brno National Theater, entrance to Observatory, and a free pass for half a year of swimming at Kraví hora.
The categories include:
- Window of the Year (main category)
- Balcony of the Year (subcategory)
- Front garden of the Year (subcategory)
Blooming institution, building (special category)
Anyone can send a maximum of 5 photos taken in the area of Brno city.
The entries should be in good quality, unmodified, preferably in jpg format. Each photo must be named according to the competition category with the address of the subject matter of the photograph. (Eg. Window-of-the-Year-Dominikanske-nam-2)
In the e-mail please state your name, surname, e-mail address with address of the photographed subject that includes street number and number of the floor.
Photos will be accepted only via e-mail: marta.vojackova@brno-stred.cz.
By submitting the photos, you agree that the receiver is free to publish them in the newsletter, Facebook groups and any other resource.
The competition ends September 20. The results will be announced during October and November.
The selected jury will decided on the winner in each category except for the Window of the Year, which will have a public voting system on the Internet. It will be launched on September 21; for more info follow the website and Facebook group of the Brno City Hall.
The Municipality wants to support culture, life, and more greenery in the center and encourage people to care about their surroundings.
