Brno, August 21 (BD) – From Thursday to Sunday, the city of Brno will be wrapped in in the melody of folk music. Every year about a thousand performers from the Czech Republic and a hundred from abroad come to promote and play the music of their national origins.
The festival starts on Thursday at 7:30 pm in the Courtyard of the New Town Hall (Nová radnice) with the children’s concert.
On the weekend, there will be multiple performances scattered at the Freedom and Moravian Squares, the Courtyard of the New Town Hall, and Moravian Museum.
Furthermore, during the days of the festival, at the Freedom Square, there will be a fair of folk artisans that will demonstrate and sell their handcrafted products.
Some of the concerts require tickets; the majority are free to enter.
The tickets are not for sale online. To buy them you need go to either to Tourist Information Center of Brno (Radnická 2), or to the Student Agency at the Freedom Square.
