The Art Evening L’arterie [Umělecký večer L´arterie] invites all the creative bugs and art lovers of the city to spend a warm evening surrounded by the creations of beginning local artists.
The organizers of the art evening, Honza Můčka and Tomáš Keys Kerekeš came up with a great concept. The aim of the event is to promote the artwork of local artists from Brno and make people have fun.
“I created the concept three months ago. It is perfect for artists that have no place where they can perform and show their art. I want to find all those people and give them the chance to present themselves,” the organizer, Tomáš Kerekeš explains.
In the chillout environment, people can view the paintings and photography exhibition or listen to poetry. The performances will be always accompanied by carefully selected music.
The event kicks off with Tomas Keys on the piano playing beautiful melodies. The band Lart takes the stage right after to make everybody dance to the sound of French, Irish, American and Czech covers. The Shookies, Brno’s version of The Lumineers, close the event.
“So, we actually give a widespread selection of various kinds of art. I believe that anyone can find something that will be interesting for him,” Kerekeš says.
Discover and support local artists & charities
Collected entrance fee money will be delivered to the non-profit organization, Společně k úsměvu [Together with a smile]. Společně k úsměvu helps children and adolescents that had cancer to get back on their feet.
“We also have deals with the artists, for example, the print of the artwork of a photographer costs 5.000 CZK. A part of it will be given to the non-profit organization,” Kerekeš explains.

19:30 – Piano Concert “Stop and Feel” [„Zastav se a vnímej“], Tomase Keyse
20:45 – Lart band, enjoy a great deal of cover from a variety of artists. The band has a variable number of members, so you can hear a variety of instruments.
22:00 – The Shookies, a young folk-rock band, some people call the undiscovered Lumineers in Brno.
All the time:
Prose, poetry, drawings, photographs and other pieces and pieces of art scattered around the ArtBar space.
You can also look forward to the painter Jan Matoušek, who will create your portrait in half an hour!
