Brno, Oct 8 (BD) – Brno is getting ready to host 59th edition of the most important engineering fair in Central Europe.
The International Engineering Fair (Mezinárodní strojírenský veletrh, MSV) hosts 1.600 exhibitors and over 80.000 visitors.
This year thanks to the Brno Fair City project, the event combines the greatest display of the art of engineering with the best that a life in the city has to offer: moments of relaxation, gastronomy and entertainment.
The initiative Brno Fair City was conceived for people who want to get the most out of both – the fair and the city of Brno.
“The International Engineering Fair has a great impact on the prosperity of the city of Brno. With the new project, we want to deepen this effect,” the CEO of Brno Exhibition Center (BVV) Jiří Kuliš said in the official statement.
Brno Fair City wants to attract thousands of the fair visitors to enjoy the city; not only the area of Brno Exhibition Center.
“Visitors and exhibitors will (…) be enticed away from hotel rooms into the lively city center,” the official website of Brno Fair Center promises.
Thanks to the project, the trade fair visitors will get special offers at Brno’s restaurants, bars, clubs, and other places as a part of the price of their fair ticket.
How it works: To enjoy all the advantages it is necessary to have a special pass, which serves to identify fair participants. The passes are distributed at the Brno Fair City Info Point (Outdoor Area A at the fair trade center) after showing a valid ticket.
“Visitors and exhibitors will be provided with a guide to help them access the most attractive things that Brno offers. For us, this is a service for our customers; for Brno, it’s the opportunity to show people that it is worth returning to the city. And not just at the fair, ” Kuliš explained.
International Engineering Fair 2017 will focus on the industrial automation and presentation of measuring, controlling, automating, and regulating technologies.
Other topics such as electrical engineering and its materials, components are on the program, too.
Since 1959, the International Engineering Fair, has been keeping up with the development of Brno. Both become more sophisticated, cosmopolitan and technological every year.
