Sliced, diced, roasted, baked. In soups, roasts, curries, pies, and of course as a Halloween decoration, we adore pumpkin in all it’s forms and shapes.
The second pumpkin celebrations, Městské dýňové slavnosti, will be held this Saturday, October 14th from 10 am to 8 pm in the center of Brno, at Malá Amerika venue.
Professionals will introduce you pumpkin specialties at a cooking show from 12 pm to 2:30 pm!
A part of the festival is a cooking contest for the restaurants: Burger Bar Brno, Restaurant Na Chatě, Goodbye from Loďka and Restaurant at Zajíčků.
In the professional jury will be chef – Petr Erin Kovac, financial planner of Brno – Martin Landa, David Andrysík, businesswoman Kateřina Zůbkova and doc. Michal Hájek from Masaryk University.
The restaurants’ task is to cook the most delicious pumpkin menu that will consist of soup, main course and dessert!
At 3 pm, the winner of the City Pumpkin Festival will be announced.
You can also look forward to shopping of Halloween treats at regional vendors.
The city pumpkin fest features a magical lantern procession at 6 pm at Denisovy sady – Lampionový průvod pod Petrovem 2017.
The event is held under auspices of the city of Brno and the entrance is free.
