Brno welcomes the very first edition of the honeyed event, Sweet Dream Fest.
This Saturday, those who are crazy about sweets will be walking on heaven! This festival will bring to the city center the biggest variety of sweets one could possibly imagine having in one single event.
“Visitors should come because there has been nothing similar in Brno yet; it is a very unconventional concept for a food festival”, the organizer of the event, Magdalena Kvačková, explains.
Sweets lovers and the curious cannot miss the chance to taste a bit of everything; from delicious cupcakes, ice creams, pralines and pancakes to coffee, fruity juices and milkshakes.
“[Sweet Dream Fest] it’s not just about cakes and chocolates, but also sweet-savory burgers, curry, and so on,” Kvačková said.
For the festival to be complete, there will be no lack of what South Moravia does best: wine!
The Sweet Dream Fest also thought about those who appreciate wine, and as such the best wine, rum and cognac from Czech and foreign producers will be sold.
During the festival, there will be a competition. The winner will receive a voucher for festival refreshments.
The concept of this festival is very unique. “I was inspired by foreign food festivals and after researching the food festivals in Brno we did not find anything like that, and so we decided to go into it and try and see how the vendors would react, and the interest [in the event] has been quite optimistic, since it is the first year,” Magdalena Kvačková explained.
The event is free, family-friendly and open to the public.
