Unemployment rate decreases to 4.3 percent in South Moravia

Brno, Nov 11 (BD) – Those are good news for employees! South Moravian region reports a 4.3% unemployment rate. The rate dropped in all districts of the South Moravia in October.

Nowadays, there are less than 35.000 people without a job in the whole region.

By the end of October, Vyskov registered once again the lowest rate of unemployment in the whole region (1805) whereas in Brno, there were 13.835 jobless people (14.598 in previous results). In Brno Venkov, 229 people found a new job.

In Znojmo and in Blansko, there are around 100 more people employed, and in Breclav other 37.

“In October, the Czech employers had the greatest interest in construction workers, production assistants, lorry, trucks and special vehicle drivers, assembly workers, cleaners, chefs, welders, flame cutters, or operators of forklifts and in warehouses,” Kateřina Beránková, the spokesperson of the Czech Labor Office, said to Denik.cz.

Currently, the Czech Republic experiences the lowest unemployment rate of the whole European Union.
According to the website Tradingeconomics.com the last month, the country met the lowest jobless rate since 1997 – 3.6%.

When compared with the same period in 2016, the unemployment rate dropped from 5% to 3.6%.
