Do you believe certain stones have specific properties? Do you feel fascinated by looking at them, and feel there is something mysterious hidden in them?

In case you answer with a yes, or if you just love diamonds because you consider them “a girl’s best friend”, come to the 37th edition of the MINERALS BRNO exhibition on November 18-19 at the Brno Exhibition Centre!

The international sales exhibition Minerals Brno is one of the largest mineralogical events in the Czech Republic, which is held twice a year – in May and November.

It includes minerals, fossils, jewelry, natural products, gemstones and healing stones.

In addition, for those who love to be unique, there will be home accessories and decorative items made of minerals and precious stones, mineralogical and geological accessories and for bookworms or scientists, even mineralogical literature!

The emerald has been a gem of fascination in many cultures for over six thousand years.

Records show that the stone was known and sold in markets in Babylon as early as 4000 BC.

The earliest reference to emeralds in Western literature come from Aristotle.

He wrote that owning an emerald increases the owner’s importance in presence and speech during business, gives victory in trials, helps settle litigation, and comforts and soothes eyesight.

He also stated “An emerald hung from the neck or worn in a ring will prevent the falling sickness” (epilepsy).

This time, the exhibition will include an accompanying exhibition supervised by RNDr. Luděk Kráčmar which will be focused on “The Fine Beauty of Zeolit”. It will count almost 700 pieces especially from Czech, Moravian and Silesian localities, but also from Slovakia, Russia, Italy, Germany, Canada or the USA.

“In addition to exhibits from traditional lenders, you can also look forward to samples from the depositories of the Moravian Museum. You will see historical collections from both domestic and foreign locations of well-known First Republic collectors, such as Č. Růžička, J. Bakeš or J. Šťastný. The Zeolite exhibition will provide an almost comprehensive overview of the well-known mineral species of this group. And it will appeal to you both with the shape and colour of the exhibits,” David Vaněček, the PR manager of the exhibition says.

At the previous exhibition, May 2017, 192 exhibitors from 11 countries enchanted almost 6000 visitors with their unique collections!

This year the exhibitors will be even more! 220 exhibitors who are direct importers, collectors or producers will introduce you with their collections.

The regular ticket price for a whole day is 100 CZK, the reduced ticket is 50 CZK and is applicable for children 6-15 years, students with a certificate of their study, holders of ZTP or ZTP/P card holders and seniors from 65 years old.
