How are memories stored in our brains? How does the world appear to a dog? Is there a smartphone with a screen that can be seen in the middle of a sunny afternoon? Will robots of the future be able to prepare my favourite dish the way I like it? Is green pond scum in fact beautiful?

These questions and many more are soon to be answered, and you can enjoy a preview at the European finals of Science Slam. Presenters from a number of countries will share their findings, from a variety of fields of scientific research, in language that is accessible to the general public.

Through a series of six-minute presentations, you will be educated and entertained with some of the scientific community’s most inspiring work.

Admission is free, and the venue is both convenient and comfortable. Science Slam will be held on Monday, the 4th of December at Scala Cinema (Univerzitní kino Scala) from 7 pm to 10 pm. To find out more about this event, visit their Facebook page.

Entry free.
