Brno, Dec 8 (BD) – The construction workers have laid foundations. A futuristic round-shaped church with a separate triangular tower in Brno-Lesná will become the most modern sacral building in the South-Moravian metropolis.

The church members have contributed over 60 million Czech crowns over past 11 years for its construction. The original budget was around 70 million crowns without internal equipment, Brno iDnes.cz wrote.

“The prices of materials and work have been rising, so the construction will eventually cost some 100 million crowns,” parish Pavel Hověz said, according to Brno iDnes.cz.

The new church in Brno-Lesná will be built by 2019.
