Brno, Dec 12 (BD) – Masaryk University has a new logo. The logo will no longer be made of MU letters surrounded by a Latin inscription. The new-style logo features the abbreviation of Masaryk University – MUNI.

Studio Najbrt from Prague won the tender for the new university’s visual style and logo, Masaryk University reported.

“It is based on the idea of Functionalism from the interwar period, and the ideals we associate with them. We think that they represent the values of Masaryk University. That’s why the visual style is purposeful and simple,” Aleš Najbrt from the graphic design studio says.

The visual style cost 750 thousand Czech crowns. Masaryk University will start implementing the new visual elements from March next year.
