Brno, Dec 13 (BD) – On Tuesday, the Office of the City of Brno-střed received a copy of the Call for the Removal of Advertising issued by the Department of Monument Care of the City of Brno (Odbor památkové péče Magistrátu města Brna, OPP MMB).
“We respect the decision of OPP MMB, but it is a surprise for us because the advertising elements on “Bruslák” [ice rink] at Moravské náměstí were discussed at the meeting in December,” Ing. Kateřina Dobešová from Office of the City of Brno-střed said.
The car has already been dismantled by Mercedes-Benz Czech Republic, which together with Hošek Motor sponsors the ice rink. “We will remove the car at night on Wednesday,” Sandra Plachá, Mercedes-Benz marketing manager, promised on Tuesday. So it happened.
Hošek Motor didn’t know about a possible breach of the law, daily Brnensky Denik writes.
The ice rink is operated by the company Meeting Zone. Its executive did not comment on the situation, according to Brnensky Denik.
