Brno, Dec 13 (BD) – You may have seen one of their blues sets recently at one of Brno’s many cafes and pubs, or over the summer on the outdoor terrace of Ktery Neexistuje. Now, as part of the festivities sponsored by Brno Christmas, Stompin’ Dog will be performing on the free stage in central Brno.

Stompin’ Dog are a local blues duo made up of multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Jan Minarčík and harmonica virtuoso Miloš Kocman. They are best known for their soulful versions of hits from such artists as Elmore James, the Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Wonder, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Steppenwolf and London Beat. (For a sample of their folky rendition of Prince’s Kiss, check out their Facebook page.)

Now you can take in your favourite rock n’ roll and pop rock hits, set to funk and blues rhythms, in the lively Christmas atmosphere of downtown Brno. Stompin’ Dog will be playing every Friday until Christmas (the 15th and 22nd of December) at Freedom Square (Náměstí Svobody). Performances begin at 7:30pm.
