Brno, Dec 15 (BD) – This year, it shouldn’t be a problem to find the ideal Christmas tree to get your house set up for the festivities. There are many places in Brno where you can find trees in all shapes, sizes, and prices. Brno Daily has prepared a few tips for those who haven’t bought their tree yet.
Artificial Christmas trees
You can purchase them either in the Main Station passage, or in Tesco (and many other places, too). Besides being environment-friendly and long-lasting, these Christmas trees are usually cheaper than the real ones.
In the Main Station passage, you can find them in different sizes (small, medium, and big) and colors (white and green). If you are looking to buy a cheap tree, this is the place.
Small-sized tree costs between CZK 180 to CZK 299; middle-sized CZK 350; big-sized CZK 450.
At Tesco, you will find a variety of artificial trees, however, the prices are higher as their quality. You can either purchase an average quality Christmas tree for a price between CZK 599 and CZK 899 or a luxury Christmas tree for CZK 1969. At the moment, Tesco has a 30% discount on all Christmas trees and 50% off on Christmas decorations.
Real Christmas trees
On the way to Galerie Vaňkovka, right after the Main Station passage, there is a stand selling real Christmas trees. In comparison with the other Christmas tree stands around the city, this one seems to have the most affordable options.
Various tree kinds, such as jedle nordmann and smrk pichlavy, come in different sizes and cost between CZK 400 and CZK 700. You can also purchase a decorated tree for CZK 549.
There is another Christmas tree stand located in Joštova street, right in front of the red church.
They offer more than ten sorts of trees. The prices vary between CZK 399 (borovice cerna) and CZK 1490 (jedle exclusive), whereas in Šumavska street, the cheapest trees cost CZK 349 and the most expensive ones cost CZK 1490.
At the tree stand in Mendlovo náměstí, there are over fifteen types of trees being sold. These include smrk ztepilý (CZK 349), borovice lesní (CZK 399), and jedle exclusive (CZK 1490).
