“Folk Marathon is so many things. It is a gathering of people who love folk music and dancing and all its contemporary faces. We learn from each other, we party, we play music, we dance. Sometimes, we also sleep,” organizers write on the official website.

At the marathon, participants will have the chance to take part in dance and music workshops, discussions, jam sessions, and last but not least concerts.

This non-profit initiative brings together hundreds of dancers, musicians, and “folkies from the four corners of the Earth”.

The project Folk Marathon kicked off in 2010 and takes place every year in a different European city.
