Brno, Dec 22 (BD) – A two-and-a-half-year reconstruction of Zvonařka’s close surroundings will paralyze the city transport system and bring numerous complications to both public transport passengers and drivers.
In April 2018, Zábrdovická street, which connects the center with the Židenice district, will be completely closed for more than one year, too.

The project known as “Tramvaj Plotní” will cost CZK 1.2 billion, which makes it the largest investment of this political garniture. A part of the plan is reconstruction of water pipelines, gas pipelines, and sewerage systems. Project details here.
On Monday, the Brno Council signed a contract with Brno Transport Company (DPMB), Imos, Czech Road and Motorway Directorate, and Teplárny Brno City Company.
City representatives promise better transport service for the main bus station, less traffic on the busy Dornych street, and faster arrivals to the Komárov district. There will be two lanes in each direction on Dornych, making it easy to drive in both directions (to the south and to the city center).
