Dark Blue Swing started in 2014 as a “decent Saturday swing night”. Over the years, it has become a three-day festival with guests from all over Europe.
“Today the Dark Blue Swing is the weekend full of dance evenings, parties, and concerts connecting swing dancers throughout the whole Europe,” event organizers write on the official website [EN].
This year, Dark Blue Swing hosts more than 50 musicians. For the first time, the organizers prepared a rich program with lectures and workshops about swing music.
The program features musicality classes, beer tastings, ‘hangover soup’, live dance music, solo jazz contest, and many parties and afterparties.
” […] no hard work. Just having fun, eating, drinking, and listening to great swing and jazz, and dancing till morning,” the organizers promise.
The prices range from 380 CZK for ‘Light Blue Party’ on Friday, 500 CZK for ‘Dark Blue Ball’ on Saturday, to 1.400 CZK for a full pass.
Unfortunately, the online tickets are almost sold out. The only available ticket on the website is for ‘Light Blue Party’, so hurry up!
The festival is held at various locations throughout the town. To find out more about the program, follow the link here.
