Tweet Boogie from the South Bronx is a dancer and a tutor of street-style hip hop. She has worked with stars including Jay-Z, Fergie, Mya, Mary J Blige, Ryan Leslie, Shakira and others, and was a part of dance shows such as the famous “So You Think You Can Dance”.
She currently teaches at Alvin Ailey’s American Dance Theater for The Ailey Extention and EXPG NY Studios. She has been holding workshops in many countries, including Japan, Poland, China, The Philippines, Ukraine, Saudi Arabia, and Australia.
Now, she finds her way to the Czech Republic, and she is officially hosting a Hip Hop workshop in Brno.
„This workshop is for everyone interested in Hip Hop, whether they are beginner or advanced dancers. However, some experience is welcome,“ Tess, one of the workshop organizers, says.
The workshop lasts 90 minutes and feature techniques, groove moves, vocabulary of moves, history of Hip Hop dance in NYC, and routine.
The workshop takes place today (Jan. 12) from 6 to 7:30 PM at Fléda Club (Štefánikova 24).
The price is 400 CZK for registering and paying in advance, and 500 CZK at the gate.
