It is generally accepted that stress is bad for our physical and mental health, but what exactly are its adverse effects on us?

This topic, as well as how to cope with stress and live a healthier, more fulfilling life, will be dealt with in detail at an interactive seminar hosted by Brno Expat Centre.

The seminar will be led by clinical psychologist Dr. Pavel Humpolíček who, in addition to his private practice in Brno, is a lecturer at Masaryk University.

The seminar will focus on neuropsychological health issues, including the interplay between mind and body, the body’s reaction to stress, stress-related burnout and psychosomatic phenomena, strategies for dealing with stress, and techniques for fostering a healthier and more focussed mind.

The seminar will be held at Jiří Mahen Library, in the centre of town, on Thursday, January 25th beginning at 5:30pm. Admission is free, but you must reserve a place at the seminar on Brno Expat Centre’s website ahead of time.

More information on the content of the seminar can be found on its Facebook event page.
