This weekend, Brno’s BVV Trade Fairs hosts the largest international travel trade fairs in Central Europe: Regiontour, International Fair for Regional Tourism and GO, International Travel Fair. “The January fairs will bring almost all regions of the Czech Republic and Slovakia to Brno,” fair organizers write.

Regiontour focuses on support of the domestic and incoming tourism in the Czech Republic, while the GO Fair promotes outbound tourism.

“Thanks to the new concept, the fairs will introduce a comprehensive national tourism presentation. Regiontour is a major project to support domestic tourism as well as incoming tourism,” Go and Regiontour Fair Director Miloň Mlčák explains.

The fairs bring together key stakeholders in the Travel & Tourism sector such as national tourist authorities, travel agencies, tour sales agents, and service providers.

At the fairs, visitors can discover interesting foreign and local destinations and latest trends in the Travel & Tourism industry. “The fairs are also associated with food and beverage tastings from different parts of the world. Milan Václavík will prepare, for example, crocodiles, fresh crickets, scorpions, or tarantulas for visitors,” organizers promise.

Last year, there were 812 exhibiting companies from 26 countries on 25,500 m2 of exhibition area. The exhibition stands were visited by 30,535 people. Foreign visitors came from 18 countries, with the largest numbers coming from Slovakia, Austria, Poland, and Hungary.
