Brno, Jan 25 (BD) – Over 30 sports, autograph sessions, ‘Paralympics day’, workshops with famous athletes, and much more. The Olympic Festival takes place in Pavilion ‘Z’ at the Exhibition Center (BVV) in Brno and OSTRAVA ARENA in Ostrava Feb. 9-25, 2018.
The visitors can look forward to engaging in countless sports activities. BVV’s Pavilion ‘Z’ will be home to the indoor sports grounds and its surroundings will turn into a snowpark.
Rent all your equipment on site! Sports enthusiasts can rent the equipment at the festival.
Festival venues will feature ice hockey and ice skating grounds. In Ostrava, there will be a public commented training of the HC Vítkovice Ridera extra league team, and in Brno, legends of the HC Kometa Brno will meet the fans at the autograph session.
The figure skating program includes workshops with famous Czech figure skaters such as René Novotný, former World Champion in pair figure skating.
For downhill ski lovers, program and competitions will be prepared in four mountain resorts in the Moravian-Silesian Region – Bílá, Mosty u Jablunkova, Karlov pod Pradědem, and Kopřivná pod Pradědem.
The opening ceremony is on Friday 9 at 11 AM.
Admission to the Olympic Festival is 50 CZK, children up to 150 cm have a free entrance. More at the official website.
