Brno, Jan 31 (BD) – “Brno has great potential in its location at two rivers. That is why we are working on the gradual regeneration of the surrounding areas,” Deputy Mayor Martin Ander said in Brno municipality’s press release.
The road by the Svratka River linking Komín and Bystrc will be revamped with walkways, stairs with railings, and a pier for better access to the water.
In Husovice, the park known as Tyršův Park, which surrounds the monument near Valchařská Street, will also be renewed.
Under expert supervision, the old trees will be removed and new ones will be planted. Locals can look forward to a new fountain, park benches, and waste bins. The paths and public lighting will be also replaced.
Implementation of both projects is scheduled to take place over the next two years. Total investments are estimated at almost 25 million crowns.
