Brno, Feb 5 (BD) – Last Wednesday, a discussion on the Plotní Tram project took place at the premises of Town Hall Brno-střed.

The project and the related traffic constraints were introduced by deputy mayor Richard Mrázek and director of Brno Transport Company (DPMB) Miloš Havránek.

The “Tramvaj Plotní” project will significantly affect transport on Dornych Street in the following months. The topic of the two-hour discussion was the first phase of this large project which will limit transport in Brno.

Dornych Street will be closed in the upcoming months.

“A closure of Dornych from Svatopetrská Street to the intersection with Zvonařka Street is scheduled for March 12th. People will only be able to drive through Plotní Street in that area,” Mrázek said in the official statement.

Dornych will also be closed to trams. A supplementary bus service will run to the Komárov district in its place.

DPMB’s information leaflet describes the proposed schedules for supplementary bus services.
