Together with the Czech Tour Guide Association, Tourist Information Centre (TIC) of Brno is currently organizing the 15th edition of International Tour Guide Day for February 17-18.
This event is a great opportunity for participants to find out why tour guides like their profession so much.
During the tour, locals and tourists will have the chance to explore Brno on foot and, with the help of tour guides, learn more about the city’s history, architecture and legends, as well as visit places that would be difficult to discover by themselves.
An initiative of the World Federation of Tour Guides Association (WFTGA) to honour tour guides at an international level, it kicked off in 1990 with the aim of encouraging the local community to appreciate the work of professional tour guides.
For this reason, on these two days local tour guides provide city tours to the general public as well as for children and disabled people.
