Brno filmmaker and creator of viral videos Michal Orsava has invited Marty McFly and Dr. Emmet Brown, characters from Zemeckis’ Back to the Future, to save the Czech Republic. Image: Návrat do budoucnosti České republiky, Michal Orsava on YouTube.

Brno, Feb 13 (BD) – “Will the help of Marty and the Doctor and legendary Delorean – the transport time machine – mix the cards of fate and give our country a positive future?,” Orsava asks in the description of his latest viral video, set in Brno and Prague, on his official website.

The video starts with the dark prophecy of the TV gypsy fortune teller Jolanda who forsees bad times for the Czech nation. Marty listens to this prophecy and decides to change it. He and Doc start their adventure at Brno’s Central Station and go some 20 years ahead….

Imagine the year 2030 in the Czech Republic. The first 2030 scene shows a huge billboard in front of Prague Castle with Jolanda’s photo saying, “I told you so.”

In the future, the Eye of Mordor burns over Prague Castle, the National Theater has burnt down again, the statue of St. Wenceslas has been sold, Brno’s black clock has got two shiny balls, The Cathedral of St Peter and Paul is about to be torn down and replaced by a new supermarket, and Uber has taken over all public transport in the country.

How can the chaos be resolved? Marty has to get rid of all major problems in the country. Marty and Doc manage to completely repair the D1 highway, stop former president Václav Klaus from stealing the pen, and make wearing socks with sandals illegal. Their efforts bring a bright future to the Czech Republic.

“I deal with the creation of viral videos that have already amused hundreds of thousands of people on the Czech Internet. My goal is to entertain people in an original form,” Orsava describes his work on his official website.

A day after its release on February 11, the video had almost 30 thousands views on YouTube.

A small hint for watching the video – play it twice at least, as there are many hidden details that you may miss the first time and will crack you up.
