Queenie, Desire, Myst, and Distant Bells, Czech-based rock bands that pay homage to Queen, U2, Led Zeppelin, and Pink Floyd respectively, are headlining the 15th edition of Večer Legend on Friday, April 6.

The first ever Večer Legend was held in 2006, and it had been held annually thereafter until two years ago, when the organisers decided that a second show per year was needed to meet demand.

“We try to introduce as many interesting bands and dramaturgical concepts as possible,” organiser Pavel Lojda told Brno Daily. “That’s why we decided to make Večer Legend twice a year.”

All of the bands performing at Večer Legend 15 hail from Brno, with the exception of Queenie.

Founded in Prague in 2006, Queenie has toured all over Europe, including an invitation to one of Queen Elizabeth II’s official birthday celebrations (see their biography here).

Desire has also toured extensively around Europe since forming in 2000 and has an extensive repertoire (listed on their website) which includes songs from U2’s 1980 album Boy right through to their latest LP Songs of Experience.

Sound like too much electric guitar for you? Myst, who have been touring Europe since 1998, have planned a set that focuses on Led Zeppelin’s acoustic numbers to add a little variety to the evening.

Distant Bells, who will head to Prague the following week and to Germany in May, have over 70 Pink Floyd songs stored to memory, so concertgoers should be in for something new even if they saw this renowned Brno-based group in 2017.

Večer Legend events have been very popular over the years, and they show no signs of slowing down. As Lojda explains, “we already have plans for the upcoming four Večer Legend [events].”

If tickets remain on the day of the show, they will be available for purchase at the doors, but these events are prone to selling out.

The good news is that you can get your tickets at the discounted price of CZK 290 beforehand. They are available online, at the venue itself, or at ticket outlets Indies and the House of Lords of Lipá.

KC Semilasso will open its doors at 5pm on April 6, and the music will start at 6pm. More information is available on this event’s Facebook page.
