TV is a part of 95% of Czech households.

Brno, Mar 14 (BD) – The amount of time Czech households spend watching TV is constantly growing. Czechs above 15 years of age watch TV for 3 hours and 45 minutes a day on average, which is 31 minutes more than a decade ago, results from the Nielsen Admosphere survey for the Association of Television Organizations (ATO) released on Monday, March 12.

In comparison, the average American watches nearly 5 hours of television a day; the average Brit spends 3 hours and 40 minutes in front of a TV, according to 2015’s International Communications Market report, quoted by the Daily Telegraph.

In addition, nowadays, people watch high-quality broadcasts- almost two thirds (62%) of Czech households watch their favorite shows in HD resolution (8% more than in 2016), Nielsen Admosphere reported.

Year on year, the number of desktop computers is stagnating; currently, 37% of households in the Czech Republic use them, according to Nielsen Admosphere.

The Nielsen Admosphere survey was conducted with 27,506 respondents older than 15 years of age from 19,038 Czech households in 2017.
