Brno, Mar 16 (BD) – The #VyjdiVen strike called on citizens, in particular students, to gather at náměstí Svobody yesterday at noon.

Hundreds of people in Brno protested, among other things, against personnel changes implemented by the current government in resignation, and against “flexible” interpretation of the Czech constitution.

Students gathered in more than 25 Czech cities this week, including Prague, Brno, Olomouc, Ostrava, and České Budějovice.

Other protests, dubbed “Postavme se za slušnost” (“Stand by Decency”), will take place this afternoon (5pm-6pm) at Moravské náměstí (Facebook). Today’s protests are connected with the political campaign in Slovakia. Some 2.800 people are following the Facebook event.

Brno’s protest will express the citizens’ discontent with the government of the Czech Republic and corruption.

The Slovakian PM resigned yesterday.

Protesters in Brno will show their support for further investigation of the murder of the Slovakian journalist Ján Kuciak and his girlfriend.
