Czech cuisine is fine for you, but are your taste buds ready for something different? This weekend is a must for anyone who wants a taste of far away exotic Africa, or to be more specific, Uganda. Photo: Pixabay, for illustration purposes

Virunga.cz is a group that allows hand-made objects and food that originate in Africa to find their way to the households of Europeans. For this reason, this weekend they are joining forces with bistro MyKitchen to have a festival of African food on Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm. The food that will be presented comes directly from Africa, so you will be able to literally taste the products of this continent.

You will have the opportunity to enjoy fresh exotic fruits from Uganda’s gardens, as well as a range of dried snacks, unique for their hand-crafted processing and authentic taste.

The food will be presented in a fresh market style, so you will be able to touch, smell, try and buy it on spot.

If you want to learn more about the products, the organizers will be happy to inform you on specific foods and traditional cuisine.

If you can’t attend the festival this weekend, don’t lose hope because the organizers plan to make this event a monthly one.

You can find more information about the event here.

When: March 17-18, 11 am – 6 pm
Where: MyKitchen (Husova 13, Brno)
