Easter has a different meaning for everybody. For some, it’s a really important religious event – the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus – while others just care about the chocolate eggs, candies and social gatherings.
In both cases, the most important thing is to share this season with others, and now you have a great opportunity to make this Easter a little bit more special.
This Saturday, March 31 over brunch at Domeq, you will have the opportunity to get to know other expats in Brno and Czech Easter traditions as well as share your own traditional habits with the community.
“Together we will bake a typical Easter lamb. There is not any catering planned or restaurant offer. It is a community meeting to share Easter traditions in a friendly atmosphere,” explains Markéta Pokorná, main organizer of the International Easter Cooking Event.
This event will bring people together to cook lunch and spend a great afternoon together with a taste of Easter. You will find out how to bake traditional Czech sweets and how and why we color eggs, and you can apply for a free workshop (in English), where adults and children can paint their own Easter egg using wax, an interesting project for creative hands to try out.
To participate in this event, you just have to register here for free, bring your own drink, snacks or ingredients for lunch and invite your family and friends.
Alcohol is not allowed. “…We are expecting attendance of children as well and it is a noon event,” said Pokorná.
The organisers of this event will also provide some ingredients for registered participants.
