A place in the middle of the forest that offers refreshment to tourists in the form of cool drinks in the hot summer and hot beverages in the winter – that’s the idea behind the new forest bar, “U Jelínka”, between Vranov and Babí lom. Photo: Pixabay

Brno, Apr 3 (BD) – In the area of “Lesní školky”, or plant nurseries, located in a popular tourist destination between Vranov and Babí lom, the “U Jelínka” forest bar opened last Friday.

“When you head to Babí lom from Vranov, you cannot miss it,” announced Andrea Musilová of Brno Forests (Lesy města Brna, a.s.), which manages the area, according to the official website of the City of Brno.

The forest nurseries are located in the center of the “Babí lom” forest complex between the villages Kuřim, Lelekovice and Svinošice. They cultivate and sell forest trees, ornamental shrubs, and herbs.

The bar will be open every weekend from Friday to Sunday, including public holidays, the official website of Brno Forests reads.

Babí lom lookout opened in 1961 and is a popular hiking destination for many citizens of Brno. Babí lom lookout tower is located on a hill at an altitude of 562m and offers scenic views of the South Moravian landscape.
