Janek Rubeš, the travel vlogger and creator of “The Honest Guide” series, will be at Mendel University to talk about the good and bad sides of the tourism industry and take questions from the audience.

This Thursday at Mendel University, more precisely at the Faculty of Business and Economics, Room Q01, an open discussion led by the talented journalist Janek Rubeš will take place, for the first time in English.

Janek’s videos inform travellers and tourists while entertaining them at the same time. You have probably already seen him on YouTube, traveling in the Czech Republic or visiting many of the most popular places around it. But if not, you can check out his YouTube channel here.

The creator of the well-known “Prague Versus Crooks” and “The Honest Guide” series will talk about the story behind both productions, what his typical working day is like, his opinion on who damages the reputation of the Czech Republic, and how we can change it.

“The discussion will cover the tourism industry in Prague – the good and bad sides of it, and other topics as well, based on questions from the audience,” explains Milad Abassi, team leader of LIDÉ Z PRAXE, the host of this event.

Anyone can join this event, and entrance is free.

“This discussion is primarily for students, but open to all the public. There is no need for registration,” said Abassi.

The doors open at 16h45, and the discussion will take place from around 17h00 to 18h40.
