Brno, Apr 5 (BD) – A mixed police and military exercise, dubbed “Hradba 2018”, will take place nationwide, including in South Moravia.
In Brno, citizens will see the mixed patrols this Saturday and Sunday. A total of 10 soldiers and 20 police officers will work together every day, South Moravian Police spokesman Pavel Šváb reported in an official press release yesterday.
“The goal of this exercise is to prepare soldiers of the active reserves for operational deployment and to allocate forces and means to assist with the tasks of the Police of the Czech Republic,” Šváb specified.
The exercise will continue across the country until April 30, 2018.
The joint exercises will take place in the military bases of Hradiště and Libavá, on the premises of the 21st Air Force Base of Čáslav, and in approved civilian areas, Eva Kropáčová from the Department of Press and Prevention of the Police Presidium of the Czech Republic announced.
According to the official press release, there will be up to 1,400 reservists in training.
