Brno, Apr 8 (BD) – During ‘Open House Brno‘, some of Brno’s best modern and historical buildings and facilities open their doors to visitors eager to explore what they don’t usually have access to. Visitors will be able to see what the interiors of architecturally renowned houses look like, how office and administrative complexes function, what is left of deserted industrial buildings, and what the city looks like from the rooftops of these buildings.

This is the first time that the ‘Open House’ will take place in Brno. Entrance to all locations is free of charge.

The ‘Open House’ concept was conceived in London in 1992 to foster a better understanding of architecture by making the buildings accessible to all for free, providing an opportunity to learn about them along the way.

This concept has been adopted by numerous cities around the world, including New York, Dublin, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Chicago, Rome, Lisbon, Santiago, and recently Prague.

A list of places in Brno that will open their doors to the public on April 14 can be found here.

A few examples:

  • Alfa Palace
  • Mosilana hub
  • Brno Exhibition Centre – Exhibition Hall G
  • Spielberk Office Centre
  • Courtyard by Marriott Brno,…
