Brno, Apr 28 (BD) – The last day of April will be devoted to the Čarozoo event (loosely translated as MagicZoo); on May 1, visitors will be able to get into the secrets of the natural sciences.
Čarozoo – April 30
The entire zoo will be overrun by children in animal masks and the smell of roasted sausages (špekáček). The programme starts at 11 o’clock, when a great ‘Witch Game’ for children starts. From 12:00 – 17:00, Zoo visitors can roast sausages. Children in animal masks will get a sausage for free. More information is available on Facebook.
Natural Sciences Day for the Public – May 1
The students of a local chemistry high school, who have traditionally prepared this event, have set up a total of 10 sites this time. Seven of them will be professional, but three will be exclusively for children.
A very attractive part of the programme on this day will be the narrated feeding sessions, most of which will include new content. The first on the list is a Sumatran tiger at 10:15. At 11 o’clock, you can learn more about the coatimundi. The other sessions start every 15 or 30 minutes. You can find out more on the official website of the Zoo.
Visitors can also look forward to the new cubs in the bison family at the Zoo. Bison mother Inez gave birth to her seventh cub on April 20. The newborn cub is a female and she is doing very well. The zookeepers gave her the name ‘Kotletka’.
