Brno, May 3 (BD) – At the beginning of his visit, Babiš discussed the question of the new railway station in Brno, and indicated that the estimated price of the station at a new location was too high.

“46 billion for a train station, one is really surprised by the sum,” said Babiš according to the Czech News Agency (ČTK).

By comparison, he mentioned that the state plans to repair 60 railway stations in the Czech Republic, including Havířov and Kolín, for a total of six billion crowns, ČTK reported.

A timeline for official government approval of the location of the new Brno railway station is difficult to predict, he told the press yesterday upon arrival at the current Central Railway Station in Brno, local press Brněnská drbna reported.
