Meetingfest 2018 kicked off yesterday and will have Freedom Square (náměstí Svobody) buzzing with activity all day today as well.
An introductory part of the greater festival known as Meeting Brno, Meetingfest offers a number of free activities that you can partake in while enjoying international cuisine and drinks, including beer from over 20 different microbreweries. (See Brno Daily’s previous article, 11-12/5 Meetingfest 2018.)
Today’s English speaker-friendly events will include:
- 3pm: a pancake cooking workshop
- 6pm: a tour of Brno’s city centre, led by Don Sparling of Brno Expat Centre
Brno Expat Centre will also have a tent set up where you can meet their friendly and helpful staff, or leave a message on their message board for other expats to see.

And don’t forget to follow Meeting Brno’s festival Facebook page. Meeting Brno will begin in earnest on May 25 and include a number of cultural and social events, running until June 9.
