Brno, May 25 (BD) – The Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority (CAFIA) reported this morning that a shop, whose slogan is “Synergy with nature”, had been producing two cannabis tea products containing an illicit substance.
“The product, as indicated on the packaging, contained [cannabis] flowers. The part of a cannabis plant called a vertex (a type of inflorescence) must not be used in the production of food because it contains narcotic substances which must not be present in food,” reads the official report of CAFIA.
The products were classified as “unsafe food” by CAFIA.
CAFIA is a state administrative body, subordinate to the Ministry of Agriculture, that is responsible for the supervision of safety, quality and labelling of foodstuffs. CAFIA publishes its inspection reports on its website called “Food Pillory”.
