Brno, May 29 (BD) – In the Diocese of Brno, 186 chapels and churches stayed open late on the Night of Churches last weekend and reported an incredible 118,000 visits.
The venues offered a total of 1,188 cultural events and workshops.
According to the organisers, one of the most popular features was the special tram that was in operation for the Night of Churches, which took visitors around central Brno in order to take in a programme of interviews with interesting guests and presentations on historical curiosities in the area’s places of worship.
This year, people were able to visit 1,509 churches, chapels and monasteries across the country.
